About Me
Stephen Townsend is a graduate of the journalism and electronic media school at the University of Tennessee. There he had a focus on news and magazine writing and copy editing. He began working with the Tennesee Journalist as a news reporter in spring 2007. He was appointed assistant news editor in spring 2008, and news editor for the fall 2008 semester. Later he served as editor in chief. He was born and raised in Marietta, Ga., which is near Atlanta, but was a Volunteer even as a child.
After working at a newspaper upon graduating he decided to go back to school. He is now pursuing a master’s degree in information systems at Kennesaw State University.
